THEOCRACY: EUROPEAN TOUR ANNOUNCED

The US melodic metal band THEOCRACY will visit Europe for a tour this fall, and you can see the first announced dates below. The band just returned from their first show ever in Europe at the Elements of Rock festival in Switzerland.

Confirmed dates:
October 24th: Metal Fest - Festhalle Friedewald, Germany
October 30th: Rock without limits - Gomaringen, Germany
October 31th: Nordic Fest - Oslo, Norway

"MIRROR OF SOULS" LIMITED PICTURE LP ANNOUNCED

Ulterium Records will release a limited edition 12" picture disc edition of the Theocracy album "Mirror of Souls". The LP will be strictly limited to 250 copies, and the release date is set for April 3rd.

THEOCRACY LIVE UPDATE

2009 will see Theocracy unleashing their new lineup on stages across the world!  For the local, Atlanta-area fans, the band will debut new guitarist Val Allen Wood and interim bassist Jared Oldham on Saturday, February 28 at Insomnia in Villa Rica, GA.  This is an all-ages show, admission is $7 and Theocracy goes on at 7 p.m., so get there early!

Theocracy also is playing a longer, headlining show on May 2 in Marietta, GA, so stay tuned for details on that.  Additional Athens and Atlanta-area shows between these two dates are in the works, so watch this space.

For fans in other corners of the United States, Theocracy will be appearing at a couple of notable festivals:  Nightmare Metal Fest in San Antonio on March 21, and Cornerstone Festival in central Illinois on July 3.  The band is very excited about these opportunities, and hopes to add some more shows around these dates, in areas of the country they’ve never played before.

And of course, the Elements of Rock festival in Switzerland on May 21-23 is not to be missed!  This will be Theocracy’s first show overseas, and the band can’t wait to bring the material from Mirror of Souls to their loyal fans in Europe.  That’s it for now, but there are definitely more live dates in the works, so keep checking the site for more shows!

THEOCRACY WELCOMES NEW LEAD GUITARIST!

Theocracy is proud to welcome Val Allen Wood as their new lead guitarist!  Val is an amazing talent, and will be taking over the guitar duties along with Jon, allowing Matt to step fully into the vocalist/frontman role.  The band is very excited about this development, and the new lineup will be hitting stages in the U.S. and Europe soon!
